Cold calling, Annoyance or Convenient?

Cold calling, Annoyance or Convenient?

How do you feel when you’ve been surfing the Internet, fall Into a home evaluation link, and next thing you know an agent is calling to sell your house?  Do you find it annoying or helpful? Regardless of how you feel about it, the technique can work for those who know how to cold call.
I’ve caught myself turning a cold shoulder to realtors who used this technique.  Maybe because one of my first jobs was at a calling center selling upgraded packages for America online.  I’ve also considered real estate professionals to be held to a higher standard; but surprisingly, the tactic works.
Earning a spot in a protected marketplace can be a brutal process emotionally and financially.  If a new agent doesn’t have a solid way to generate business, they will undoubtedly fail.
To keep from failing there are ton of companies such as Zillow, Trulia, and realtor.com to provide agents with a long list of prospective people to contact.  The sites used to look at houses are specifically designed to capture your information.
Advertising companies will employ cookies, signups, social media or whatever means to collect peoples information.  Realtors will buy your contact information from these companies to use them to gain business
So how do you feel about this?  The advertising companies say it’s a matter of convenience for the customer, but what do the customers say?
